Written by David Baron (a Messianic Jew), sometime in the early 1880’s while he worked for Mildmay Missions to the Jews this was the first booklet he wrote. The first half of the booklet is, in effect, a short biography in the form of the personal testimony of the author. The second half takes on a more argumentative form being arguments for Jewish belief in Jesus as the promised Messiah of Israel. This booklet made quite an effective tract which the author used throughout the early part of his ministry career, apparently with good success.
This work was printed under two slightly different titles What Think Ye of Christ? An Appeal to the Jews was the American edition. The British edition was What Think Ye of Christ? An Appeal to the Jews of Great Britain. I have used the American edition as it proved easier to obtain. I am still looking for a copy of the British edition, because I have some indications it is four or five pages longer.
The American edition included several typographical errors in English, and several errors in the Hebrew text as well. If missed any errors or introduced a typo of my own please let me know and I will correct it. You can leave a post, or email me at jgallan[the at symbol]flameofthewest[the dot symbol]org
Special thanks to Moody Bible Institute http://www.moody.edu/, and to Dawn for proofing the Hebrew text.
To facilitate easy printing I have uploaded two copies one in US Letter paper-size and the other in ISO A4 paper-size. I’ll provide the original scans and a related errata document shortly.
Please feel free to leave comments about this eBook, I’d love to know what people are thinking about it. More eBooks by David Baron, and eventually the Public Domain works of other Messianic Jews will follow.
